3 Bedroom Limousin Cottage/Gite

One of the pleasures of living in the Limousin is the obvious changing of the seasons.
Winter can be surprisingly cold with frost and snow but the sun never completely loses its warmth so the frost disappears quickly in sunny locations and lingers in the shade.
After the cold of Winter, Spring is a joy to behold with blossom and wild flowers in abundance. It can be quite warm even in February with temperatures in the sun reaching 30 degrees or more.
Summer days are generally warm and occasionally rather hot. Because the Limousin is on the edge of the Massif Central it gets enough rain to keep the fields and forests lush and green. From time to time there are spectacular thunder storms. This year has been exceptionally dry resulting in water restrictions, despite this the fields are still lush and green.
Autumn brings a glorious display of colour and an abundance of fruit, nuts and fungii. Temperatures can still be quite pleasant into November but often mornings can be misty and even frosty.
