There are many ways to fill your days. A day 'at home' by the pool winding down or out and about exploring what Haute Vienne and the other parts of the Limousin, Creuse and Correze have to offer. There are many places to visit and pretty villages in the area.
Local restaurants, including a gourmet restaurant, offer quality food and value for money.
Limoges and Brive offer excellent shopping opportunities.

In summer many towns and villages have regular markets or foires.
Swimming, Sailing and Other Water Sports
Visit one of the lakes in the area like Lac de Vassiviere where you can hire a canoe, dinghy, windsurfer or other craft.
Other Activities
Fishing, Mountain biking,golf, tennis, paragliding and even hot air ballooning are all just a short drive away.

Museums and Places of Interest
In June 1944, the population of Oradour sur Glane was massacred by German troops. The village remains as it was left in 1944.

Art lovers will enjoy the Limousin's porcelain museum dedicated to all periods of Limoges china.
Pompadour
The town of Pompadour is the home of the French National Stud which opens its doors to the public with a variety of events throughout the year.
The Chateau, on the Route de Richard, Coeur du Lion has guided visits.

Animal Parks and Aquarium
If you enjoy seeing wildlife Les Loupes de Chabrières near Gueret and the Parc du Reynou , an Open Wildlife park, are worth a visit.
Limoges also has an Aquarium.
Puy du Fou
Three hours drive away but well worth a visit is the Puy du Fou theme park
